A series of recorded letters from asylum seekers to-be document their lives in The Migrant Mixtape, feeling disconnected and lost, The Stranger arrives in a foreign city, Scar Tissue is unveiled when a casual hookup turns intimate, a dancer has to prove her worth to the judges while her mind races deep underwater and the clock only ticks backwards in Moment #2, and in The Documentary HOMØE, refugees begin their journey towards emancipation in Germany.
Back for a second year, TRANSITION’s Queer Refugee Program 2.0 is a collection of shorts that reflects on the lives and stories of those who were forced to leave home and fight for their right to live freely. Several films from the program have been directed and shot by former refugees.
